On the eve of World Physiotherapy Day 2026, Sri Chamundeshwari College of Physiotherapy organized a Postural Awareness Programme with the theme “Posture Matters – Your Body, Your Future” on 11 September 2026 at Government Adarsha Vidyalaya, Channapatna.
The programme was conducted under the esteemed leadership of Dr. M. K. Kishore, Principal, SCCP, with the active participation and support of the faculty members of the college.
The awareness programme was organized with the objective of educating school students about the importance of maintaining correct posture during their daily activities, particularly while sitting, studying, standing, walking, and using digital devices. The students were sensitized to the impact of prolonged poor postural habits on musculoskeletal health and the importance of developing healthy postural practices from an early age.
The faculty members of Sri Chamundeshwari College of Physiotherapy conducted interactive demonstrations and practical awareness sessions, enabling the students to understand correct and incorrect postural patterns and simple ways to improve their posture in everyday life.
The programme highlighted the vital role of physiotherapy in preventive healthcare and health promotion, emphasizing that early awareness and appropriate postural habits can contribute significantly to maintaining physical well-being and preventing future musculoskeletal problems.
The initiative at Government Adarsha Vidyalaya reflects the commitment of Sri Chamundeshwari College of Physiotherapy towards community engagement, preventive healthcare, and spreading physiotherapy awareness among the younger generation.
The programme concluded with an encouraging message for the students: “Posture Matters – Your Body, Your Future.”
